Seasonal Delights :: Distilling Eucalyptus

Our journey to Paso Robles provided so many benefits- beyond a personal relaxation journey. We had the honor of Distilling Eucalyptus with our friends at Paso du Soleil lavendar farm and have been busy making new herbal recipes since.

Distilling Eucalyptus Essential Oil in Paso Robles
Harvesting eucalyptus leaves in Paso Robles for essential oil distillation

There’s something special about harvesting plants with intention, knowing they will be transformed into medicine for the body and spirit. Our recent trip to Paso Robles was exactly that—a journey into the heart of nature’s remedies.

Tucked among rolling vineyards and golden hills, we spent the day distilling fresh eucalyptus, watching as steam carried the plant’s potent essence into hydrosol. The air was thick with its crisp, invigorating scent, clearing our breath even before the first drops condensed. There’s a certain magic in this process—a connection to the land, the plant, and the tradition of plant medicine.

The Power of Eucalyptus for Respiratory Support**

Eucalyptus has long been revered for its ability to open the airways, soothe congestion, and support the body through colds, flu, and allergy season. The essential oils in its leaves contain compounds like eucalyptol (1,8-cineole), known for its ability to clear mucus, reduce inflammation, and make breathing easier. Whether you’re fighting off a lingering cold or simply need a moment of clarity, eucalyptus offers a breath of fresh air—literally.

One of the simplest ways to harness its benefits is through a shower spray, turning your daily rinse into an herbal steam session.
