About the event

Lauren is a professional Yoga teacher and trauma-informed Yoga Therapist, C-IAYT and currently employing specific yoga tools and resources to individuals with a wide variety of needs in a mental health setting within a trauma center.  Especially now, her workshop is so timely and we are delighted she is sharing her wisdom and experience with all of us.  Whether you suffer now or have suffered in the past form mild stress or have more intense circumstances of trauma or depression or PTSD, Lauren provides a safe container for all to feel empowered to create lasting practices that help to combat feelings of anxiety, stress and overwhelm. 

In this workshop, Lauren will guide participants through specifically designed yoga practices including asana, breathwork and meditation, that focus on building resilience through nervous system regulation and building a ritual of self care and of home practices.  The workshop will be lead in 4 parts:

1- Pranayama (breathwork) with lecture and practice

2- Ritual: with lecture, journaling, practice and music elements

3- Embodiment:  Lecture and practice of tools offered

4-Deep Relaxation and Meditation with lecture and guided practice.

Leave this intimate workshop with a "toolkit" that you can feel empowered to intigrate into your daily life and have for the especially crucial stressful times that we all face now and again in our lives.  Lauren offers gentle guidance along with her extensive knowlege of self-care and therapeutic yoga practices.
