Return to Our Roots

EACH YEAR WE BEGIN AGAIN; we return again as a community of like-hearted folks to our practice and we begin to embody our  intentions for the New Year ahead of us.  Join Heather Perry for  HIKE , YOGA & MEDITATION Sunday, January 15st, 2023 (the event was previously canceled due to weather)

This year, we Join Heather and Return to our Roots.  8 years ago, Heather began teaching Sunday Soul up at the Cross with Jessy and Jen, the Co-Founders of Ventura Pop Up Yoga , our hosts.  Back then, we would walk up the Ventura Botanical Garden Trail together, as a community, and practice Yoga on the grounds of Serra Cross Park.  This New Year's Day, we come together again in this sacred return to our Roots and the Roots of the Yoga Practice. Flow with us into the new year, steady and present in body, mind and soul.

*This EVENT IS FREE to All, However the cost of the trail is $7 please bring cash or Credit card.  You must still register for the event please. We will meet Heather at the trailhead of Ventura Botanical Garden Trail by 9:30 am.   Please pay your trail fee ahead of time, so that we may begin at 9:30 am to hike up the hill.   (if you would instead like to join us for only the Yoga and Meditation Portion of Practice, please meet at the Cross at 10:00 am for these offerings. 

Please wear layers and clothes comfortable and appropriate for both hiking and  Yoga.  Bathroom is located at the trail head.  Arrive early to use the facility. Bring water and carry a light load for your yoga practice needs.  You may wish to bring a journal.  As we get quiet and look inward, ideas, hopes, intentions may become more clear and you will have the opportunity to write down what comes up for you.
