About the event

Living in rhythm of our true nature or Dharma as we know it through the yoga lineage, is intended to support each of us in the discovery of the path towards a deeper sense of fulfillment.

The dedicated practice of yoga is an embodiment. Its always meant to be a "living practice" not just something we perform a few hours a week.

Through this Winter Series we will explore many ancient practices + protocols that we can integrate into our everyday lives to begin to awaken and expose a deeper sense of ourSelf.

The intention of this series is to help individuals:

Increase Productivity while decreasing stress

•Rise into the day with excited anticipation for the possibilities, rather than dread.

•Teach new tools to cope with anxiety, chronic pain, worry, stress, etc.

•Self Discovery into personal strengths + creative nature

A Living Practice is a 3 part series that will compound upon itself to become a living series.

FAQ:

  • Do I need to have previous study of yoga philosophy? No, you just need a curiosity for the depths of this practices. Please don't let the sanskrit names intimidate you. Part of what we will be doing is exploring just what these monthly themes mean and how pieces of them may resonate with our everyday lives.
  • Will this series be based in yoga? Yes, but our time together won't be limited to just a posture based yoga practice. We will also explore other ancient traditions, that have enriched lives for generations before ours. Come prepared to share time in movement, discussion of philosophy, meditation, exploration and so much more.
  • If it's easier for me to attend online, will I miss out on the group element? Absolutely not. You will be able to attend live or a recording of our monthly gathering. This two hour portion will be informational and "the work" will be implementational for the remainder of the month. We also know some of our audience has spread throughout the country and we want to continue to include those near and far.

In between our formal meetings we will continue our discussion in a private online setting. There may be follow up discussion questions, short videos to enhance our time between... and if you've gotten this far into the description it's safe to assume their will be reflective homework (observing what it means to live these practices)

Jessy Raspiller began her yoga journey back in 2005.  The curious nature of the physical practiced coaxed her along, until a teacher opened up her world to the philosophy behind the practice.  At that moment it was as if the transformative journey she'd been on finally had a foundation to grow from.  In 2014 she dove into her first teacher training.  By the end of the first weekend she knew she needed to extend these teachings to many.

In the spring of 2015 she launched Ventura Pop Up Yoga, Ventura's first and only outdoor yoga studio.  The elements of nature woven with the ancient teachings of yoga created a platform that has reached 1,000 of individuals; both new and seasoned to the practice.

Jessy has gone on to continue her education and has over 1000 hours in yoga + healing modalities including: Breathwork, Meditation, Life Qi Renewal, + Trauma Informed Yoga.

"I look forward to the relationship that we can build through our shared expereinces"
