Heather Perry has been leading yoga, mindfulness classes and workshops since 2009.  She is extremely passionate about sharing the deeply therapeutic aspects of yoga, breathing practices and meditation through her soulfully guided offerings.  Heather’s teachings come from her own transformation and healing through yoga’s many lineages invaluable teachings as well as Buddhist Dharma on mindfulness. Her most poignant healing experiences have been heart-centered practices including Lovingkindness and Compassion practices. In order to deepen her understanding, Heather is currently immersed in a transformative 2 year Mindfulness Meditation course lead by two of her beloved teachers, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield which investigates mindfulness in all of its facets.

“Through yoga and meditation we deepen and  heal our connection to our authentic selves, we blossom our connection to one another and the natural world around us and we begin to appreciate that we are so much more than our bodies- we are infinite and ever evolving.  Accessing this divine unity through yoga asana, meditation and pranayama is medicine for our bodies, our minds and our Souls.

Why Heather chose Meditation Mount?

I chose Meditation Mount because it is a local organization holding space for us to be with nature with more reverence and mindfulness.  The nature of the space is to simply be with it and reflect within.  It is impossible to go there and not feel the undeniable truth that everything is so intricately connected. We need to help this beautiful organization who, like so many others, suffered damage to their grounds during the Thomas Fire and being that they are kept going by the donations of those visiting, the Pandemic also caused them to close down for some time.
